Description: DE BURGH is an elegant, compact, and well put-together colt, with a beautiful classic head. His sire, the Hanoverian black stallion Domino RSF, owned by Ed Rothkranz, stands at stud at Rhineland Stud Farm in Kentucky. Domino’s sire is the famous DE NIRO who is referred to as "the embodiment of the Hanoverian stallion". Domino's dam line descends from the legendary WELTMEYER.
De Burgh’s dam, My Opportunity Knoxs, is an attractive, strong-moving mare with significant athletic ability. "Moxie" did very well at the CSHA inspection. Her sire is RAFIKI an elegant black stallion who goes back to My King. MY KING, who was one of the most sought-after stallions of the 70's, was ridden by Ed Rothkranz and was a member of the 1980 Canadian Olympic Dressage Team.
Some of De Burgh's notable ancestors are: DE NIRO, DONNERHALL, WELTMEYER, MY KING, TREBONIUS, MARTELL. Follow the links below to read about, and to see pictures of, each of DE BURGH'S impressive ancestors.
